Schmick matches the method to the surface: a water-fed pole and pure water on glass, deionised water on panels, low pressure on walls. Pressure is for hard flatwork like driveways, and even then through a controlled surface cleaner, not a bare lance.

It depends on the surface and the shade. As a rule: windows two to three times a year, gutters twice, a house soft wash yearly, solar panels quarterly near the water.
